for Early Childhood Educators
Want to inspire your teachers to incorporate more STEM activities in their classrooms? Look no further!
This workshop, entitled "STEM for Little Engineers" is designed to inspire and excite early childhood educators about the idea of implementing more STEM in their classrooms. The workshop focuses on connecting hands-on science with children's literature. Through a variety of hands-on activities, teachers will learn about STEM phenomena and the importance of nourishing each child's sense of wonder and curiosity. Teachers will participate in "Story Time STEM challenges" to discover how the Engineering Design Process can be introduced to children as young as 30 months old. Explore the benefits of integrating STEM, and discover simple strategies incorporating STEM into existing daily routines! I'll share some of my favorite STEM resources and materials, as well as tips and tricks from my own experience, as both a STEM teacher and a mom! This hands-on workshop is jam-packed full of information, ideas, and curricula that will leave your teachers ready and eager to integrate STEM in their classrooms the very next day!
